Conference Hotel
The conference will be held in room 2405 of the Siebel Center for Computer Science (201 N. Goodwin
Ave., Urbana, IL). A block of rooms have been reserved at Hampton
Inn (1200 W. University Ave., Urbana, IL, phone: +1-217-337-1100,
fax: +1-217-337-1143), located within five minutes walking distance from Siebel
Center.
Reservations at Hampton Inn must be done by calling the hotel directly at +1-217-337-1100.
A special rate of $89 for single occupancy and $94 for double occupancy is available
until September 28 by mentioning the group name "DEC." Note that this rate
is available only when registering by telephone. After September 28, the negotiated
rate cannot be guaranteed. The hotel provides free shuttle service to and from
the local airport, the University of Illinois Willard Airport (code: CMI), on
weekdays (Monday - Friday) from 7am - 3pm. To use the shuttle, you need to call
the hotel at 217-337-1100. Taxis also are available outside the airport; you can
expect a rate of $10 - $15 to reach Siebel Center or the conference hotel.

The University of Illinois Willard Airport (code: CMI) is five miles south of
Champaign, within 20 minutes driving distance from Siebel Center and the conference
hotel. Taxis are available outside Willard Airport; you can expect a rate of $10
- $15 to reach Siebel Center or the conference hotel.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is also within driving distance from the major airports in Chicago:
- O'Hare Airport (ORD): To drive to campus from Chicago's O'Hare Airport,
take I-190 a couple miles to Interstate 294, the Tri-state Tollway (exit 1D).
Head south (toward Indiana) for 35 miles to I-80, paying tolls along the way.
Take I-80 West (toward Iowa) three miles, then exit from the left lane onto
I-57 heading south. Drive south for a couple hours or less to I-74 in Champaign.
Take I-74 east three miles and exit at Lincoln Avenue. Turn right and head
south a mile to campus, which is on your right.
- Chicago Midway Airport (MID): This airport is situated about 115 miles from campus.
